WordPress提示：An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org

WordPress在网站后台进入主题或插件安装页面显示如下错误信息：

An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org

这是因为与WordPress官方服务器无法链接导致的。

检查配置文件

首先检查wp-config.php中是否存在如下设置项：

define('WP_HTTP_BLOCK_EXTERNAL', 1);

如果没有该设置项则采取下文的其他解决方法，如果有的话可以删除这条设置项或将值修改为0后再尝试。

强制解析api.wordpress.org

修改服务器的hosts文件，Linux系统的hosts文件路径为：

/etc/hosts/

添加如下内容：

198.143.164.252 api.wordpress.org

IP地址可以使用站长测速工具获得。

修改服务器dns

一般强制解析api.wordpress.org后就可恢复正常，如果仍然不行，还可以尝试修改服务器dns：

vi /etc/resolv.conf

添加dns地址：

nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4
